Automotive Controller

Franchise automotive dealer group is looking for an exceptionally qualified individual to join their team. This is a senior level accounting and financial management position for a store selling 100-120 cars per month. This individual will oversee cash flow planning including asset management.. This individual will be a key member of the management team working directly with dealership owner.

Job Responsibilities to Include:

• Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function.
• Supervise and train accounting staff as needed.
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for owner.
• Make sure that all reports are made to all the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
• Meet with Department managers regularly to address ways to improve business and cover goals as well as performance
• Coordinates audits and makes sure the proper filing of tax returns is handled in a timely manner.
• Oversee HR functions
• Oversee and ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws
• Assist with strategic and operational planning as requested

Job Requirements:

• Experience in automotive accounting is preferred.
• R&R experience preferred but not mandatory
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree - Accounting Major or extensive prior experience in similar role;
• A deep knowledge and understanding all aspects of retail automotive
• Must have working knowledge of information technology .
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have demonstrated leadership ability and team management in prior roles
