Description

As a sales manager you will be expected to train, monitor and coach the improvement of the performance of assigned sales personnel while managing all customer traffic and assisting the sales personnel in closing the sale. You will be taking direction on sales from the Variable Operations Manager, General Sales Manager and Finance Manager during the sales process for each customer. This must be done while being mindful to always protect the dealership by dealing with the highest legal, ethical and moral standards. You are also responsible for ensuring the dealership is ready to do business each day, that the display area is properly set, and all customer parking spots open.

JOB DUTIES

  • Be present and available to “the Point” of the Sales Tower when there are customers in the showroom.
  • Work with desk managers, settlement team, and BDC to ensure all sales opportunities are maximized and to ensure strict compliance with the company’s cash/check/credit card handling policies and all Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
  • Provide enthusiastic leadership to help shape employees' attitudes and build morale.
  • Monitor the daily sales activity of all assigned team members, training proper sales processes and recommending improved courses of action (coaching) where necessary.
  • Ensure that all information is entered CRM and DM.
  • Conduct daily sales training meetings for assigned team members.
  • Ensure the highest of customer satisfaction.
  • Address any customer concerns to ensure a high-level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a professional appearance as governed by employee policy manual.
  • Ensure that the display area is retail ready at all times.
  • Coordinate with the business office to ensure that records and analyses are maintained accurately.
  • Assist as requested in maintaining the dealership(s)’ 13-Week Variable Operations Trend Board.
  • Train, monitor, manage, and coach all assigned team members.
  • Backup other sales managers by covering their duties with their team members when they are absent or unavailable.
  • Complete formal performance evaluations of all sales team members assigned to you at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Participate in the preparation of the dealership(s) forecast by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for VO.

Requirements:

3 years sales experience with proven record

Valid Driver's license
