Description
Franchise automotive dealer group is looking for an exceptionally qualified individual to join their leadership team. This is a senior level accounting and financial management position. This individual will oversee cash flow planning for multiple stores including budgeting. This individual will be a key member of the management team working directly with dealership owners.
This is an individual who can streamline systems and processes across all stores.
Job Responsibilities to Include:
- Oversee the accounting department for all stores to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.
- Supervise and train accounting staff as needed in each location making sure that all run smoothly.
- Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for owners.
- Develop processes and procedures to improve efficiency across stores.
- Make sure that all reports are made to all the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
- Submit timely and accurate factory financial statements
- Meet with Department managers regularly to address ways to improve business and cover goals as well as performance
- Create and maintain budgets and reporting for accountability to budgets for each department and store.
- Coordinates audits and makes sure the proper filing of tax returns is handled in a timely manner.
- Work with dealership owners to develop more comprehensive data and reporting functions for all stores.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions is kept.
- Help develop and encourage teamwork across all departments and stores.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in automotive accounting is required .
- Bachelors Degree required - Accounting Major or extensive prior experience in similar role;
- 5 years of prior controller experience.
- A deep knowledge and understanding all aspects of retail automotive
- Must have working knowledge of information technology to facilitate needs for the various offices and systems.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have demonstrated leadership ability and team management in prior roles
- Must have interpersonal skills, and possess excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus good organization skills.
