General Sales Manager - Automotive

Auto dealership is looking for a leader in variable operations. Must be an leader, coach and full team player. This individual will be overseeing the variable operations and a large sales team. This individual MUST love the industry and the customers. This store is driven to provide all customers regardless of credit the highest level of customer service.

Job Duties may include:

  • Setting goals for each member of your team and helping them achieve them.
  • Working with sales team members to ensure proper handling of all dealership customers
  • Training the sales team on dealership processes.
  • Working with customers to answer questions about the sales process and overcome objections.
  • Working with finance team to ensure dealership goals are met.
  • Working to make sure all opportunities are explored with every customer.
  • Working effectively with the service department to ensure both internal and external customers are handled properly.
  • Ensuring all team members are current on any and all required training.

Skills Need to Succeed:

  • Stable employment history
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Positive attitude to work with customers with damaged credit
  • Prior Special Finance/Subprime experience required
  • Outstanding closing skills
  • Motivated to achieve individual goals as well as lead team to achieve goals
  • Ability to coach and train sales personnel to maximize every lead opportunity.
  • 5 years of GSM experience preferred, but will consider 3 years minimum F&I experience with 2 years sales management experience.
