Job Summary

Auto dealer has an immediate opening for an experienced service manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the service department and exceeding customer service expectations of this store. Prior franchise experience is preferred. Our ideal candidate is a very organized individual who can quickly assess priorities and make sound decisions in the best interest of the dealership while providing superior customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Preparing budget, goals, and objectives for the service departments and monitoring performance
  • Hiring and training of qualified service personnel.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive relationship with customers, ensuring that department staff is helpful, as well as making customer satisfaction a priority to ensure referral and repeat business.
  • Working with customers and their warranty claims by understanding and applying manufacturer warranty guidelines.
  • Ensuring that service repairs are performed efficiently and correctly by conducting spot checks on jobs.
  • Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
  • Maintains outstanding business relationships with manufacturer
  • Sets, monitors and drives objectives of Advisors and Technicians.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent for the store.
  • Manage the service and parts customer areas to be retail ready with proper displays, point of purchase information, comfort and cleanliness.
  • Maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid Drivers license is required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an automotive service department, preferably management experience. More if no supervisory experience
  • Outstanding leadership skills which focus on treating employees with respect
  • Unwavering commitment to ethical business practices
  • Understands and keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state and local regulations
  • Organization and leadership skills are a priority.
  • Strong communication skills are required to work with customers, employees, and vendors.
