Description

General Sales Manager

Franchise auto dealer selling 50-75 cars per month, looking for a growth driven individual who can continue to develop team culture.

Must have experience in similar role. Salary + commission based on store results.

Six day a week store with reasonable hours.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee activities of the Sales Department.
  • Formulates sales goals, plan of action and ensure execution of those plans and goals
  • Create and execute training of sales team
  • Recruiting and hiring sales staff as needed.
  • Must be able to desk deals and evaluating credit - prime & subprime as needed
  • Hold sales team accountable for all sales activities including appointments and saving deals
  • Manage inventory including merchandising, ensuring reconditioning standards are met, sufficient inventory levels are held, and proper turn times are met.
  • Encourage, engage and motivate all team members
  • Appraise trades
  • Ensure proper balance of used to new inventory is sold
  • Maintain all dealership required reporting

What are the job requirements?

  • Vehicle acquisition experience preferred but not required
  • 4 years of experience in a Sales Manager or prior GSM role
  • Knowledgeable in handling special finance transactions.
  • Solid verifiable employment
  • Must enjoy working with customers of all credit levels
  • Proven track record of success in the automotive industry.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Desking talent & ability to maximize profits in every transaction.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation/closing skills.
