Description

Ground floor opportunity for experienced automotive office manager.

Franchise auto dealership is changing ownership and moving to a new facility, which means there is a fabulous opportunity for someone who loves dealership accounting work!

Must love challenges (setting up a new accounting system) and be determined to make a positive impact in the business. They will oversee and manage the accounting department along with supporting employee relationships while nurturing the overall culture of the dealership.

You will be the primary point person for all accounting work including setting up a new office and processes for success. Prior franchise experience is helpful but not required.

This is a position with growth opportunity, as the dealership grows you will be expected to take on more responsibilities such hiring additional clerical staff and more.

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the daily processing of A/R and A/P

• Calculating and processing complex commission statements for payroll

• Overseeing internal controls and conduct account audits

• Overseeing HR compliance

• Ensure all schedules are kept clean and are accurate

• Daily bank reconcilation

• Submit factory data for incentives

• Reconcile factory statements

• Manage cash including ensuring floor plan payoffs are made timely

• Preparing monthly financial statements in a timely manner.

• Submit accurate factory financials

• Prepare other reports as needed by management

• Participate in dealership meetings as required

• Reviewing all financial statements and ledgers, and work with the dealership staff to clear any discrepancies.

• Work with CPA for year end taxes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Accounting degree

• 4 + years’ minimum automotive accounting experience required or 10 years combined education and work experience in accounting

• Must have outstanding computer skills

• Effective communication skills

• Proven experience with complex accounting transactions

• A critical thinker with excellent analytic abilities

• Strong customer service, leadership, and organizational skills

• A valid driver’s license.

• Automotive or cost accounting experience preferred
