General Manager - Automotive

A successful dealership is ready to transition to the next level by placing a full time General Manager in place. The owner is ready to step out of the role of day to day management.

Must be an leader, coach and full team player. This individual will be overseeing the entire operation on a day to day basis, allowing the owner to focus on higher level work. This individual MUST love the industry and the customers regardless of credit history. This store is very driven to provide all customers regardless of credit the highest level of customer service.

This is not a broken store that needs fixing! This is a store with a great team that is operating well, but is looking for a talented GM to come work alongside the team and drive business to the next level at a reasonable pace.

Job Duties may include:

• Running the day to day operations of the franchise.
• Setting goals for each department and helping them achieve them.
• Working with team members to ensure proper handling of all dealership customers
• Ensuring proper execution on dealership policies and procedures.
• Continue building loyal customers to expand repeat and referral base
• Work to make sure all opportunities are explored with every customer.
• Working effectively with the service department to ensure both internal and external customers are handled properly.
• Ensuring factory mandates are met
• Ensuring a factory programs are utilized to the fullest extent.
• Ensuring all team members are current on any and all franchise training/certification required.
• Ability to review data and make business decisions based on facts.

Skills Need to Succeed:

• Stable employment history
• Must know fixed operations
• Must have prior Special Finance/Subprime experience
• Proven track record in management
• Prior GM experience or an extended period as a GSM
• Positive attitude to work with customers with damaged credit
• Ability to coach departmental teams to achieve goals
