Description

Franchise auto dealership is changing hands and is looking for a true leader for their service and parts operation.

If you know you way around an automotive service center and you are focused on quality customer service, you need to apply.

You will be coming in on the ground floor of this operation and growing with the store.

The service manager is responsible for the customer centric, efficient, and profitable operation of the dealership's service department. You will be responsible for building customer relationships, operating at maximum production, managing department assets and and creating a cooperative work environment while maintaining profitability.The ideal candidate will have new car experience, and experience building a growing department with a proven track record.

  • Ensure every attempt is made to make the customer service experience a pleasant one.
  • Train all service/parts staff to promote customer satisfaction, while adhering to dealership policies.
  • Set individual staff objectives and department objectives that align with dealership objectives.
  • Hire, train and evaluate service/parts staff.
  • Plan and execute service advertising/marketing program.
  • Maintain daily, monthly and annual data as required by executive management.
  • Maintain all department equipment at an appropriate level for daily use.
  • Obtain competitive bids for all service department expenses.
  • Maintain control and be accountable for all department assets.
  • Ensure all technician flagged hours are appropriate.
  • Ensure the service staff is kept up to date on technical issues and up to date on all products.
  • Create and be accountable for department budgets for personnel and expenses.
  • Understand, monitor and be accountable for the service section of the dealerships financial statement.
  • Ensure average recon turn of less than 7 days for new purchases.
  • Work with sales department to create a cooperative environment that is beneficial to the entire dealership.
  • Meet with Dealer and/or General Manager once per week to review current service dept performance and discuss other critical department matters..

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Prior automotive service management experience

• A critical thinker with excellent analytic abilities

• Strong communication, customer service, leadership, and organizational skills

• A valid driver’s license.
