Description

If you are a disciplined, lead by example, hands-on General Sales Manager, then this is the role for you. The right candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, with a proven track record of overseeing the successful operation of the sales and finance operations of the dealership.

Job Summary:

  • Ensure that the dealership meets its used vehicle sales and its objectives on a consistent basis.
  • Ensure that the dealership reaches its profit objective on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Be able to planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the activities of variable operations teams.
  • Focus on employee development and retention.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lenders and partners.
  • Develop culture where customer retention is valued and achieved.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coach team members continually to reach goals and objectives and to review actual performance.
  • Achieve assigned profit goals on a monthly basis.
  • Lead by example and ensure that the core values of the Company are encompassed in behavior at all times
  • Train and mentor associates in an effort to develop and retain employees
  • Track and report data on activity as required by Owner and GM
  • Be willing and able to step in to help the finance dept or sales managers as needed for coverage of departments.
  • MUST be willing to actively engage with customers.

Required Experience:

  • Must love managing people and bringing out their strengths
  • 5 - 7 years previous Automotive General Management experience
  • Great communication skills
  • Proven results
  • High Energy
  • Self Starter
  • Experience with bank finance
  • Knowledge of CRM and DMS systems
