General Sales Manager - Automotive
Family owned Independent auto dealership is looking for a true leader to oversee their variable ops team with growth to a general manager position. Must be an all- in, full team player. If you can deliver results in leadership and production and are looking for a long term home this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. This store is looking for steady growth and knows that comes through continuous focus on the details.
This store participates in a 20 group and measures it's success against that group.
Will consider a highly experience sales manager who is ready for the next step up in responsibility.
This store also does a small amount of BHPH each month in addition to traditional prime and subprime business, so a working knowledge of BHPH is a bonus.
Job Duties may include:
- Manage the desk managers and sales team,
- Ability to train the team and keep the team motivated and focused on goals.
- Manage inventory levels and work with Service Manager on Recon of inventory.
- Ability to desk both Prime and SubPrime deals when necessary.
- Appraise trade in's
- Establish monthly variable operations goals
- Lead, Manage and hold team accountable to store culture
- Strive for industry performance benchmarks
- Promote on-going training
- Working to make sure all opportunities are explored with every customer
Skills Need to Succeed:
- Proven track record in sales and finance
- Positive attitude to work with customers with damaged credit
- Prior Special Finance/Subprime experience
- Outstanding closing skills
- Motivated to achieve individual goals as well as lead team to achieve goals
- Ability to coach and train sales personnel to maximize every lead opportunity.
VALID DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED
MUST HAVE 3 YEARS OF VERIFIABLE AUTOMOTIVE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE AND OUTSTANDING REFERENCES INSIDE THE AUTO INDUSTRY!
